Is hand made = ethical made??
ETHICAL MADE; -craft or art made with minimal harm or exploitation of humans, animals and/or the natural environment…
HAND MADE; -made by hand or a hand process, from but not limited to, a design …
Do hand made goods at a market qualify as ‘ethically made’ when the independent artist has created them out of a ‘labour of love’, without any exploitation to humans, animals or the natural environment??
Why is there a light on?
To market, to market… as all indi artists & designers know, the market season is here. Keeping us all busy creating, finishing and stockpiling our latest designs and goodies ready to put ‘our hearts’ on the market table….
Midnight seems to be our friend, working when everyone else is sleeping, the world is ours to ‘create’…a single light on in the studio, neat little bundles of completed work and tempting snacks to keep us going …but…
